Although there are many pre-designed college programs which offer degrees online and at relatively cheap prices, some college and universities offer custom degrees online that are just as cheap. In today's busy, fast-paced society we often assume that we cannot possibly afford paying the cost of tuition in order to return to school and finish earning a degree. Scholarships seem to be handed out to only those people who don't truly need them. Another problem with scholarships is that they generally only pay for a small portion or of the needed tuition. Additional funds must come from somewhere else. If we earned enough money to pay tuition outright then we wouldn't be going back to school to better our careers. In conjunction and addition to classroom based courses, their online programs provide courses at relatively the same cheap price. You may choose to earn one of the custom from a California community college, but there are also options available from school based colleges out of different states - and for just as cheap.
However, when searching for a college that offers custom degrees online for cheap prices, you want to make sure that they do not make a distinction between residents and non-residents. If they do make this distinction and charge a difference in price, you may be spending more than you think on tuition. Fortunately, there are still many online programs that do not charge residents and non-residents different tuition amounts. If you later decide to attend a different school or university in order to gain the prestige associated with that school's name, you will benefit greatly by having earned as many credits possible through a college that offered custom degrees online. The cheap price won't transfer to your new school, but your credits definitely will. As long you attend an accredited college, your credits will transfer to any other college in the nation - and you'll have saved a ton of money in the process.
